Ester is a textile designer based in Melbourne.  She comes from a creative family who have been her source of influence from a very young age, in particular her mother, who was a bespoke dressmaker.  She cannot remember a time when she was not  surrounded by textiles.  Ester has a Master of Fine Arts degree and whilst studying for this degree she created fibre artworks.   She has also created and exhibited a number of works using Japanese textiles as her medium.  Ester has had many solo exhibitions in Melbourne and interstate, as well as in Japan and is passionate about the creative process.  Her skill lies in hand generating motifs which are then translated to digital artwork.   Ester has experience in using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.  She has a highly developed sense of colour and aesthetic sensibility.

Ester is interested in designing rugs for hotel lobbies.  These rugs will be part of the interior design which sets the scene for an inviting experience on arrival.  On entering the lobby a guest will immediately feel that they have arrived at a special destination with a ‘wow’ factor.  Her expertise in selecting the right colours to create a mood, and intuitive sense for the right textile design to be used in a particular space, set her apart as a textile designer.
